MENTAL HEALTH FOR ACTORS
It is our hope to be an advocate for getting counseling for actors on behalf of Malik who believed in receiving counseling to center your mind. Actors are so passionate in what they do, however some of the roles and environments requires the extra help outside of rehearsal and performances.
Malik's place for Emotional Processing
Our goal is to find an easier way to get you all economical or free counseling AFTER graduation.
This may take us a while but know it is important to us because it would have been important to Malik.
Meanwhile, we planning to offer the "Next Act Wellness" Scholarship and information on free services for actors.
This scholarship will pay 5 counseling sessions to the counselor
of your choice within the United States, up to $200 per session.
or if you are AEA without insurance, but enough credits, we will pay the premium
which will provide you health and mental for care for 3-6 months, depending on your credits
ELIGIBILITY:
MUST BE AN ACTOR who graduated from college or university (Submit an Unofficial Transcript, SAG card, or AEA)
Actor is unable to Pay for insurance offered by AEA and SAG
Submit an essay describing how you have helped or been present in another person’s life while you were going through your own struggle.
